Biography assignment ( writing and speaking )

Your Biography – This is your life
Write and present a biography about one other person in the class in a short 5-10 minute oral piece that tells the class about your subject’s upbringing, cultural background, hobbies, relationships or major events in their life.

1. Interview your classmate by writing questions regarding any of the following* Where they grew up* Important events in their childhood* Important mentors or role models* Favorite hobbies at that time* Later experiences / High school / University experiences* Accidents / Important milestones* Reasons for coming to Australia*Experiences in Australia* Hopes for the future

2. Write minimum 2 pages ( 1000 words ) that tells the class about that person’s life. Email it to the teacher for correction and assistance. Practice new words and pronunciation and prepare your talk. Ask your interview partner for pictures that support the presentation

3. Present using competent delivery techniques. Presenting is not READING, but engage your audience, show them images, ask concept check questions, involve the subject in the discussion of their life so farDeadline : Friday 10th of January 2009

There will be a 1st Prize and 2nd Prize for the best presentation.
